He has just got bail, but AAP celebrating as if acquitted: BJP on Sanjay Singh release
Tiwari said that granting bail is court's decision but that doesn't mean he has been acquitted in the case.
BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that the statement made by the Karnataka MP doesn’t reflect the views of the BJP.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that it has sought an explanation from its Karnataka MP Anantkumar Hegde for his “rewriting the Constitution of India” remarks. The saffron party distanced itself from Hegde’s remarks, terming them his personal views.
“MP Shri Ananth Kumar Hegde’s remarks on the Constitution are his personal views and do not reflect the party’s stance. BJP reaffirms our unwavering commitment to uphold the nation’s Constitution and will ask for an explanation from Shri Hegde regarding his comments,” the BJP said.

He said that BJP works in the interest of the country and in consonance with the spirit of the Constitution.
“It must be reiterated that every step that is taken by the BJP, every decision that is taken by the BJP is always in the interest of our country and in consonance with the spirit of the constitution,” he added.
Hegde, known for giving controversial statements, has accused the Congress of amending the Constitution to downgrade Hinduism and called for changing the Constitution to “save the religion”.
He called on people of Karnataka and the country to give BJP 400-plus seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that the Constitution of India can be changed.
“You all must help BJP to win over 400 seats. Why does the BJP need 400+ seats? Congress leaders in the past made changes to the constitution and made it in a way that it doesn’t put Hinduism in front,” Hegde had said.
“We need to change it and save our religion. We already have a two-thirds majority in Lok Sabha, and we do not have that in Rajya Sabha to amend the constitution. 400-plus numbers will help us achieve that,” the BJP MP added.
